A Little Bit About Me

I’m a dedicated, friendly, and reliable Visual/UX/UI Designer with high emotional intelligence and a deep passion for human-centred design. With a strong foundation in design thinking, prototyping, and user testing, I thrive on creating experiences that are intuitive, effective, and enjoyable.
We learn from our mistakes – Our struggles make us strong!
I was born and raised in Lahore, Pakistan, a city rich with history, colour, and culture. As a proud Lahori, I carry with me the vibrant energy of my heritage. I earned a dual degree in Computer Science and Business Administration from Kinnaird College, one of Pakistan’s most prestigious institutions.
In April 2021, my husband, two children, and I moved to Melbourne, Australia, as skilled permanent residents. Melbourne instantly felt like home — a city alive with art, design, and global culture.

Outside of work, I’m a full-time mum to two tech-loving kids — my 14-year-old daughter and 11-year-old son. Together, we explore coding in Scratch, Python, HTML, and CSS, often mixing learning with fun through hands-on science experiments and family design projects. We’re even planning to start a family-run software house — a dream in progress!
Before transitioning into UX, I spent over five years as an IT Trainer, designing course materials, conducting workshops, and mentoring learners of all ages, including government officials and senior citizens. This experience strengthened my ability to empathise, communicate, and teach complex ideas in simple ways—skills that now underpin my design practice.

As a people person, I enjoy connecting with people who are motivated and unafraid of sharing their ideas with the world. Having the ability to recognise and feel for the person’s situation, I empathise by being a thoughtful listener, hearing their stories and am committed to helping them in solving their problems.

Travelled to more than 10 countries, I’ve been lucky enough to do quite a bit of it. Travelling forces us out of our comfort zone, exposes us to different cuisines and cultures and helps us realise how diverse our world truly is. It is the best way to learn about people and their needs. When we meet so many wonderful people all over the world, we begin to feel the whole world is our home.

Melburnian-by-choice, I, with my husband and kids, moved to Australia in April 2021 on a skilled immigration permanent resident visa, and we made Melbourne our new home. I feel fortunate to be able to live in such a special city, renowned for great art and culture, delicious food and a source of inspiration for everyone. I especially appreciate its green spots and meeting people from all over the world.
Continuous improvement has always been my goal, and I enjoy helping others succeed by sharing my learning opportunities. Due to my innovative nature, I pay close attention to details and a committed to quality. I am a lifelong learner, constantly learning new things every day and have skills in operating a wide range of creative platforms and industry-standard software and tools.

I am certified in design thinking, prototyping, and user testing from RMIT University. My passion is to design engaging and compelling experiences and products that make users smile. I enjoy bringing my ideas into reality, solving problems, collaborating, and delivering effective solutions.
“Good UX design starts with great conversations. It’s about engaging with people from all walks of life to truly understand how they experience your product or service.”

Professionally, I’ve had the privilege of working with the Department of Education and Training, Victoria, where I collaborated with a supportive team and gained first-hand experience designing within the Victorian Public Sector.
Currently, I’m proud to be part of Service Victoria, where I design seamless, mobile-first digital experiences for all Australians. I work across the full design spectrum — from research to wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing — to create citizen-focused services that are accessible, inclusive, and delightful to use.

We recently achieved a significant milestone — we became proud Australian citizens. This moment marked more than just a change in legal status; it was the culmination of a journey filled with courage, adaptability, and new beginnings. Since moving to Australia in 2021, we’ve embraced the culture, built new connections, and made Melbourne our home. Taking the citizenship pledge as a family was a deeply emotional and proud moment — a celebration of our growth, resilience, and commitment to contributing positively to this beautiful country that has welcomed us so warmly.
